Payam Yazdanjoo (b. 1975), an Iranian writer and translator, studied Cinema (B.A., 2000; M. A., 2003), in Art University (Tehran), inaugurated his literary activities by publishing short stories and critical essays in different magazines and newspapers, since 1996. He published his first collection of short stories, Good Night, John, in 2002, his first novel, Francula, or the Postmodern Prometheus, has been published in 2005 – his second collection of short stories, named The Museum of the Lost Things, is published in 2009.
Achievements of his activities in the fields of writing and translating (Philosophy, Literary Theory, Literature, and Cinema) have been published as 30 volumes (a list of books); his other activities include teaching in universities (Art University, Soore University), lecturing in academic and cultural societies (House of Artists, Tehran University, Tehran International Book Fair, …), and interviewing with mass media (a selection of interviews).
Since 2003, as editor, consultant, and a member of editorial board, and also as general editor of ‘Critical Thinkers’ series, Payam Yazdanjoo has collaborated with Nashr-e-Markaz Publishing Company.
